On Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th January 2025, the Friends of Freeman's Wood community really pulled together to complete our Winter Tree Planting project led by Ian Proctor!
We planted 1000 trees over the weekend with help from 96 local volunteers, including the 53rd Lancaster Scouts, a group of students from Myerscough College & University Centre, and many other adults and children from our amazing community of volunteers.
We can now all look forward to seeing them growing and gradually rewilding the corner of the meadow near to the industrial estate.
